A Velvet Chapter Workshop at Petaluma Tufting Studio

Spend a Saturday afternoon making something with your hands. The Velvet Chapter is partnering with Petaluma Tufting Studio for an intimate, four-hour workshop where you'll learn the craft of tufting and leave with a piece you made yourself.

Whether it's a tufted wall hanging for your reading nook, a soft little shelf accent for your favorite bookshelf, or something completely your own, this is your chance to slow down, get tactile, and create something that lives with you long after the afternoon ends.

What's included

Your $100 covers everything you need for the four hours: the tufting gun, yarn, the canvas frame, all materials, and full hands-on instruction from the team at Petaluma Tufting Studio. No experience required.

Pick a base design or bring your own

Four bookish base designs will be available to choose from on the day of the workshop. Each one is designed to feel right at home in a romance or romantasy reader's space. If you've got something specific you've been waiting to make, bring your own design and the team will help you bring it to life in yarn.

A few things to know

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time. Wear something you don't mind getting yarn on. Bring water and snacks if you'd like, though we'll have some treats on hand. You'll leave with a finished or near-finished piece, plus the satisfaction of having made something real on a Saturday afternoon.

This workshop is non-refundable but transferable. If you can't make it, you're welcome to gift your seat to a friend.
